Acrylic Extrusion Troubleshooting Guide Like all plastics manufacturing, extruded acrylic sometimes has production issues. The acrylic either never leaves the extruder or jams the machine so it locks up. If this occurs, you may need to flush the machine and wash out the extruder. Another common situation that arises is when the acrylic is not well removed from the die and the shape of the product looks clearly ill shaped. This can usually be remedied by altering the temperate or flow speed of extruder and a better flow of acrylic can occur. Thankfully, even with only a little quick problem-solving (and a few of your brain cells) you can have those extruders repaired quicker than ever, and even better than that, less problems in general for all acrylic extrusion processes!
