Why Is Polycarbonate Profile Extrusion So Great? One of the awesome things about PC profile extrusion is how versatile it is. Which means it’s something we could use to craft all kinds of shapes and sizes. The sky's the limit hah, but really there's not much we can't do!
So it’s no surprise that so many fabricators turn to polycarbonate profiles to fulfill a variety of extrusion requirement. For one thing, polycarbonate is a very tough material that can withstand plenty of bangs and drops. And that is why it is a perfect option for windows, skylights, and safety barriers.
One more advantage of the poly crystal profiles are there lightweight. That also means they are extremely easy to work with and move, which manufacturers find handy too, including Jwell. And because polycarbonate is so strong, products made with it are less likely to break (or get chipped, or crack), which can save you money over time.
The making process is really quite simple, all you need is a bit of polycarbonate profile extrusion. Here’s how we do it First, let’s start with polycarbonate pellets which are heated and melted into a viscous liquid. This fluid is then expelled through a die which shapes the profile. When it is profiled, it is cooled and hardens; then it can be cut and used in all sorts of clever products.

Everything which we mold using polycarbonate profiles is of the utmost strength yet with incredible lightness, unbelievable that such durability is possible. For example the windows made by using polycarbonate profiles are not likely to be damaged during a storm this is why they are becoming more and more popular of homes and business houses.

But then also, because it’s so super lightweight for polycarbonate, that means that the products you make, whether that be cases or Apple Watch mounts, are also easier to carry around and easier to install. Which is a massive win for the likes of Jwell who they simply cannot manufacture it as fast or as cheap!

i.e., we can generate curved profiles for skylights and angled profiles for protective railings, for instance. We may even build in some textures and patterns on the profile’s surface to fancy things up a bit. PC profile extrusion is pretty much limitless and that’s what makes it such a fun process to mess about with.
