Extrusion in plastic processing

The plastic extrusion process typically is a method to produce an article of essentially uniform cross section, for example pipe, tubing or wire. Pellets of plastic are placed in an in-feed belt feeding hopper, heated, and melted. The molten plastic extrusion is formed in accordance with a shape in a predetermined space to make the molten plastic flow through a die. This is frequently used to produce pipe tubing and sheeting.

Advantages of Extrusion in Plastic Processing

The capability of Jwell extrusion in making finished complex shapes with high precision is one of the great advantages in the plastic processing. In this manner, long continuous lengths of plastic material can be produced and can be severed to form desired lengths. Extrusion is highly efficient and generates minimal scrap, so manufacturers can make valuable use of resources at a low cost.
