Pvc sheet extrusion process

PVC Sheet Extrusion PVC sheet extrusion is the process of creating a flat product out of PVC plastic. This includes melting the PVC pellets and then shaping them into a sheet on a contraption known as an extruder. PVC sheets manufacturing process starts with the raw PVC powder (or pellets) being fed into a hot mixer. The pellets are fed into a machine known as an extruder, which heats the PVC until it is a molten mass at a precise temperature. Once softened, the PVC is extruded through a die to produce the final sheet with the desired shape and wall thickness. The resulting sheet is then cooled and cut into the desired size.


The role of temperature and pressure in PVC sheet extrusion

Temperature and pressure have a high effect on the PVC sheet extrusion. Heats the PVC, make sure temperature of the PVC material is even, not too hot or cold. Well, if it's hot enough that PVC will burn, servant to the low-quality sheet, right? On the other hand, if the temperature is too low, the PVC will not melt completely, yielding uneven sheets.

The pressure is of course important in PVC sheet extrusion, since it determines how quickly the melted PVC passes through the died. The force is right for the PVC and lays it flat so there are no thin spots in the sheets. When too much pressure is applied, the sheet can warp or bubble on its surface. If it is too far less, the sheet would not be properly molded.
