Product Description
The film squeezer is installed at the end of the film washing lines for drying the material. The dewatering screw press system is based on the mechanical squeezing, made by a screw working inside holed barrel. As you may know, it is very important to dry the film regrinding a film washing plant Previously, centrifugal dryers and thermal dryers were widely used in most film washing plants to dry the plastic films. However, the moisture content of the material was still to high. High moisture content significantly reduces the capacity of the pelletizing line. To improve the efficiency of film washing lines, we have developed this plastic film squeezer. The finished product is densified material with moisture content under 3%. This allows the capacity for the same extruder while pelletizing to increase by 30%. Additionally, the material from the film squeezer can be fed directly into the extruder without a compactor. This saves power and operating cost for the whole plastic film washing plant.
Mechanical Extrusion Dehydration
Equipped with a perforated barrel and rotating screw, the system removes moisture via high-pressure mechanical (extrusion), replacing traditional centrifugal/hot air dryers.
